Lionel Messi does not feel that he will have to win a World Cup if he is to be considered as the best player of all time.
The four-time Ballon d'Or winner is already being considered as the one of the best footballers of all time but, the Argentine has yet to lift football's most prestigious prize.
There are those that believe that Messi must win a World Cup to cement his legendary status but the Barcelona forward does not think it that way.
"I think there are many players considered the best ever without a World Cup," the 26-year-old told Ole .
"But obviously winning a World Cup is a positive and it would be very special.
"I hope we are in Rio [the venue for the final of Brazil 2014] enjoying the day there. Hopefully, we can reach that final."

Ronaldo breaks Messi’s Champions League goals record for a season

Cristiano Ronaldo breaks Lionel Messi's record of the highest goals scored in a single Champions league season after he scored 2 goals in their victory against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena. Ronaldo has now scored 2 goals more than Messi with Messi scoring 14 times in 11 games during the 2011-12 season. Wtihout  any doubt the 2013 Fifa Ballon d'Or winner has bettered Lionel Messi by scoring 16 goals in just 10 appearances.

No player has ever scored at such an impressive rate in club competition of Europe. Lionel Messi's average during his record breaking season was a goal in almost 70,71 minutes. while the Spanish striker Ruud van Nistelrooy was even more stylish during Manchester united's advancement till quarter-finals in 2003.

Eden Hazard the youngster of Chelsea admits that Chelsea are "not made to play football" because of their elimination from the Champions League after a 3-1 home defeat at Stamford Bridge by Atletico Madrid. Chelsea had their noses in front after an early goal from Fernando Torres but Atletico Madrid were a resilient team and goals from Adrian Lopez, Diego Costa and Arda Turan made the comeback for them and they were all set up to a Final against Real Madrid in Lisbon next month.

After the ferocious match Hazard said that chasing the game with Diego Simeone's side and defending in tight numbers was never going to suit Chelsea. Ronaldo: I want to retire at Madrid.

Cristiano Ronaldo states that he has no intention of leaving the Spanish side Real Marid, admitting that he will finish his football courier at Real Madrid. The Real Madrid skipper was shortly linked for a return to Manchester United before this season, after insisting that he was not satisfied in  Santiago Bernabeu, but he decided to sign a new contract with Real Madrid until June 2018. Ronaldo does not feel sorry for that decision even a little bit, explaining that he is not interested in leaving Real Madrid.

"Right now, I feel as though I want to finish my career here because I'm very happy, I love living in Madrid playing at the best club in the World and I can't ask for mroe. When things are good, when you're settled and motivated to do well, you worry less about the future.

Liverpool defender Daniel Agger has admitted that he was tempted to Join Barcelona in the close season.Barcelona had a bid for the Denmark captain turned down over the summer, with Martino also looking to transfer David Luiz of Chelsea. Though Camp Nou is a dream where Agger wants to play but he is happy to stay in Liverpoll through his football courier.

"If I have a contract here of two or three years and the club wants me to stay, then i stay with them because, when I signed that deal, that's what i told them, that I would be here for four years. I can't just turn around and say I don't want to be here anymore

Messi: I am pleased that Ronaldo will be at the World Cup.

Messi states that he is happy about his rival Cristiano Ronaldo playing the 2014 World Cup.
Barcelona and Argentina striker Lionel Messi says that he is happy to see his rival Ronaldo sealing Portugal's qualification for the World Cup 2014. Ronaldo scored a hat-trick in the second leg against Sweden in Tuesday's World Cup play-off to qualify for Brazil and Messi states that he is happy for hiv rival's side qualify for the 2014 World Cup.

"I was very happy for him when he scored those goals, It's just great wen the best teams compete with each other in Brazil, and Ronaldo has a great scoring rate this season.I don't know if this is his best moment, but he is always there scoring goals in all the games and playing his beautiful football in both his club and country, He has been in good form for many years, Whether he is at the best, or a bit below that, there is almost no difference."Messi told to the reporters.

Match Report: Argentina 2-0 Bosnia Herzegovina, Aguero scores 2 goals as Argentina cruize to victory.

During the first period, Bosnia had the game in control and forced Argentina goalkeeper Sergio Romero to make many saves, but they needed some good work from their own goalkeeper, Begovic to keep them in the match.

Bosnian strikers Vedad Ibisevic and Edin Dzeko couldn't score past Romero after the mistakes from Argentina defenders, while Begovic produced a remarkable save when Aguero was through on goal.

Five minutes to go in the first half, Begovic again made a brilliant save as he stopped Palacio's shot but Aguero was on the right place at the right time to convert the reboud.

Argentina totally controlled the second half and doubled their lead after Aguero slotted the ball home with a acrobatic volley in the box.

Bosnia had many chances to score goals, but in the end had to be content with two.

Spain 0-1 South Africa. Spain humiliated in Johanessburg.

Spain had a humiliating defeat against South Africa after falling with a loss of 1-0 at Johannesburg.

In the second half, Bernard Parker scored the only goal for South Africa after running on to the throughball and putting the ball in the back of the net.

Victor Valdes also got the chance to play in the match, but unfortunately was forced from the pitch after a serious knee injury.
