Barcelona-Atletico Madrid Preview: Camp Nou stage set for La Liga decider

They go head to head for the title at the Camp Nou.
Fc Barcelona and Athletico Madrid are going head to head to win the La Liga at Camp Nou on Saturday. Atletico Madrid head into the weekend's clash with a 3 point advantage over their opponents and they are also at the top of the table. However, a win for Barcelona would clinch the title on the basis of their previous head to head records following a 0-0 draw at Vicente Calderon in January.

Both clubs have frustrated in recent months, with Barcelona dropping their valuable points in the last  two m atches, conceding a last minute equaliser in a 2-2 draw against Getafe and a 0-0 draw at Elche. That opened the door for Atletico to win their first crown since 1996, but they also look really frustrated after a draw against Malaga and a loss of 2-0 at Levante.

Mario Gotze admits that Bayern Munich are still hurt after their Champions League loss against Real Madrid but says that he remains very proud that Pep Guardiola's players went out playing their Tiki-Taka brand of football rather than obtaining Chelsea's preferred tactic of "parking the bus". Bayern Munich were beaten 5-0 on aggregrate by Real Madrid in the semifinals and one of their biggest and schocking loss of 4-0 at Allianz Arena after a 1-0 defeat at the Bernabeu.

Guardiola and his men were hammered for giving too much importance on keeping the ball, but Gotze is proud that Bayern didn't change their tactics like of Chelsea who tried to imitate the defensive tactics but also were beaten 3-1 on aggregate by Athletico Madrid in the semi-finals at Stamford Bridge.

"The defeat against Real Madrid does hurt, We had a extremely bad day in the second leg. But you shouldn't forget how we played at Santiago Bernabeu when we dominated the game for many couple of minutes. It's obvious that you can do it like Chelsea did at Vincente Claderon and park the bus in your own box.

Isco left out of Spain's World Cup squad

The Spanish coach Vicente Del Bosque, has announced is squad for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil but he hasn't chosen Real Madrid's Isco and Alvaro Arbeloa in his 30 man squad. Isco has really found difficulties to show his best form in the second half of the season after initially impressing at Madrid, which has now cost him a really big place in Del Bosque's tactics, while Alvaro Arbeloa lost his place due to Dani Carvajal.

By the time, Despite playing not too many matches at Madrid this season. Casillas has also made it, while the youngster and the experienced Thiago Alcantara and Fernando Llorente have both made it, too.

Messi: Compare me to Maradona when I win the World Cup.

Lionel Messi clearly states that he cannot be considered as the world's best player of all time until he has won the most prestigious award in football The FIFA World Cup. Most of the time Messi is compared with Diego Maradona and Messi has also passed Maradona's achievements in club level, but at the point of the World Cup when judging the Barcelona striker alongside the former Napoli great, Argentine Coach at South Africa 2010.

"The comparison with Maradona is a very prestigious compliment, but not one that I can accept yet. He did so much for the national team and I don't think any player can be great until they have won the World Cup. I hope that I can do that and I hope I can do that this June but until then I don't speak me as the best."Messi told to the reporters.

Lionel Messi does not feel that he will have to win a World Cup if he is to be considered as the best player of all time.
The four-time Ballon d'Or winner is already being considered as the one of the best footballers of all time but, the Argentine has yet to lift football's most prestigious prize.
There are those that believe that Messi must win a World Cup to cement his legendary status but the Barcelona forward does not think it that way.
"I think there are many players considered the best ever without a World Cup," the 26-year-old told Ole .
"But obviously winning a World Cup is a positive and it would be very special.
"I hope we are in Rio [the venue for the final of Brazil 2014] enjoying the day there. Hopefully, we can reach that final."

Ronaldo breaks Messi’s Champions League goals record for a season

Cristiano Ronaldo breaks Lionel Messi's record of the highest goals scored in a single Champions league season after he scored 2 goals in their victory against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena. Ronaldo has now scored 2 goals more than Messi with Messi scoring 14 times in 11 games during the 2011-12 season. Wtihout  any doubt the 2013 Fifa Ballon d'Or winner has bettered Lionel Messi by scoring 16 goals in just 10 appearances.

No player has ever scored at such an impressive rate in club competition of Europe. Lionel Messi's average during his record breaking season was a goal in almost 70,71 minutes. while the Spanish striker Ruud van Nistelrooy was even more stylish during Manchester united's advancement till quarter-finals in 2003.
